Historical Records & Backfill¶

Viewing past records¶

Every Quick Update screen — Morning, Evening, Tank Dips, Deliveries — shows date chips for the last three calendar dates at the top of the screen.

• Today chip — current active date
• Yesterday chip — previous calendar day
• Day before chip — two days ago

Tap any chip to view records for that date. A "past date" badge appears in the subtitle to confirm you are browsing history.

Read-only enforcement¶

Historical records are always read-only when browsed via date chips, regardless of user role. Even Admins cannot edit a past record directly from the browse view.

Admin corrections (override flow)¶

To correct a historical record:

1. Navigate to the target date using the date chip.
2. Note the record is locked.
3. Go back to the active date for that period (not the browse view).
4. Use the Override lock form — enter a reason and click Override lock.
5. You are redirected to the confirmation for that specific date.
6. Make corrections to nozzle readings or payment entries.
7. Re-submit and lock.

All overrides are recorded in the Audit Log with the reason provided.
