Morning Confirmation¶

The Morning Confirmation records the opening state of the forecourt at the start of each business day. It consists of two parts: nozzle totalizer readings and a payment breakdown from the previous evening.

When to submit¶

Submit the Morning Confirmation at the start of the trading day, before any fuel is dispensed. The confirmation must be submitted and locked before the Evening Confirmation becomes available.

Prerequisites¶

Before Morning Confirmation unlocks for today:

1. The Evening Confirmation for yesterday must be locked.
2. Opening dip readings for today must be submitted (if dip capture is enabled for this site).

If either condition is not met, you will see a blocked message with instructions.

Capturing nozzle readings¶

1. Open Quick Update → [Your Site] → Morning.
2. The screen lists every active nozzle at the site.
3. Tap a nozzle tile to open the capture screen.
4. Enter the current totalizer reading shown on the pump display.
5. The previous reading is displayed for reference.
6. The system calculates the delta (volume sold) automatically.
7. Optionally attach a photo of the pump display as evidence.
8. Tap Save morning reading.
9. Repeat for all nozzles.

Capturing the payment breakdown¶

After all nozzle readings are saved, capture the payment breakdown:

1. Tap a product tile (e.g. Diesel, ULP 95).
2. Enter the litres for each payment method:

4. Pump Tests
5. Fleet Card (per provider)
6. Coupons (per provider)
7. Mobile Money (per provider)
8. Bank / POS
9. The value is calculated automatically from the current pump price.
10. Tap Save payments.

Submitting¶

Once all nozzles and payments are captured:

1. Add any notes or anomaly flags in the text field.
2. Tap Submit morning confirmation.
3. Confirm the prompt.

The confirmation is locked. Nozzle readings and payments become read-only.

Correcting a locked confirmation¶

Only an Admin or Support user can unlock a confirmation. On the Morning screen, admins see an Override lock form. Enter a reason and click Override lock — the confirmation unlocks for editing. All overrides are recorded in the Audit Log.
