Tank Management

Tanks are the physical underground storage vessels at a site. Each tank holds one product and has a defined capacity.

Adding a tank

  1. Open the site from Back Office → Sites.
  2. Click Add tank.
  3. Complete the form:
Field Description
Tank name e.g. T1, Tank 1 Diesel
Product Fuel type stored in this tank
Capacity (L) Nominal capacity in litres
Tank type Site tank (standard) or Transfer tank
Active Uncheck to decommission without deleting
  1. Click Save.

Dip chart

A dip chart converts a stick reading (mm height) to a volume (litres). Without a dip chart, dip heights cannot be automatically converted to volumes.

To upload a dip chart:

  1. Open the tank detail.
  2. Click Upload dip chart.
  3. Upload a CSV with columns height_mm and volume_litres.
  4. The system validates the data and shows a preview before saving.

Site Primary storage — tracked in wet-stock reconciliation
Transfer Intermediate storage used in stock transfer operations
